IS IT OVER? ...by Jaya not by Ronnie Milsap

Is it over, are you really over her
Is it over, or will you take her back again
If it's over you can let her memory in
Come on over, we'll let our love begin.

You say you can't count the times that she's hurt you
And she's hurt you for the last time
Now you say I'm the one that you're needing
But is the need in your heart or just in your mind.

Is it over, are you really over her
Is it over, or will you take her back again
If it's over you can let her memory in
Come on over, we'll let our love begin.

You know that I'm yours for the asking
If you're really asking, for true love
Words can't express how I want you
Oh, how I want to believe you're giving her up.

But is it over are you really over her
Is it over or will you take her back again
If it's over you can let her memory in
Come on over we'll let our love begin.

Is it over, come on over let our love begin.
Is it over...

Jaya, one of the Philippines' finest singers, does her version of Ronnie Milsap's "Is it Over" ~~ excellent rendition, I say!

Daughter of Elizabeth Ramsey, a popular comedienne in the old "pinilakang tabing" (silverscreen), it is obvious where she got her powerful voice. But of course, they sing a completely different genre of songs.

A difficult childhood, both here and in the States, again proved to be a common denominator among many Pinoy/Pinay music talents who succeed internationally.

Maria Luisa Ramsey Buffington in real life, Jaya's popularity reached its peak in the early 90s but still coming up with hit songs every now and then. Her singing style shows glimpses of Anita Baker, Patti Austin and Whitney Houston.

In this song, "Is it Over", she shows a different flavor of her singing talent -- blending her R and B and soul expertise with the romantic, easy listening mood of this Ronnie Milsap song. Gracefully flowing from one line to another, it just takes the "pinoy music talent" to another level.
